In its design phase, the Resilience Action Database is standardizing climate resilience strategies across a number of criteria including JEDI, nature-based solutions, and more.

The Great Lakes Climate Service Providers Academy, started in 2019, was the first iteration of the ASAP Private Sector Academy which has now expanded into other regions of the US.

Sascha Petersen, the Founder and Director of Adaptation International has contributed to the last two National Climate Assessments (website pictured above).

Resilience Action Database

In partnership with several industry leaders including the American Society of Adaptation Professionals, Nemac+Fernleaf, the Geos Institute, Empowering a Green Environment and Economy, and more, the Resilience Action Database is an ongoing project designed to standardize and support the ways in which adaptation professionals and municipal/county/state decision-makers access and utilize climate resilience strategies and actions to support their climate resilience planning work.

ASAP Private Sector Academy

The Private Sector Academy was designed for private engineering, sustainability, and climate firms in regions across the US looking to integrate climate data and information into their products and services. In partnership with the American Society of Adaptation Professionals (ASAP), a variety of workshops were designed to help firms from multiple sectors build insight into climate change and learn how to use high quality, publicly available climate data resources. These insights are intended to help firms learn about climate variables that affect their work and thus provide a more comprehensive service, answer more client questions, and stay ahead as the climate change affects the marketplace.

National Climate Assessment

Founder and Director Sascha Petersen has been a lead author in the last two National Climate Assessments, the Great Plains Region (2014) and the Pacific Northwest Region (2018). In addition, members of the Adaptation International team currently serve on several industry-wide boards and committees, including the ASAP JEDI committee, the National Adaptation Forum Planning, JEDI, and Program committees, among others.
